      Along with the announcement that Steam Family Sharing has left it’s beta phase and is now available for all far and wide, Valve have also reported that they’ve handed over control of game sales to the developers that made them.

    7. Are achievements spoiling your enjoyment of games?

      .

      Microsoft have recently pushed the achievement system to the ‘next-gen’ of annoyance by introducing non-game achievements to the Xbox One. These include such things as viewing a certain number of films in a certain time frame or rating content after using it. It almost feels as if the technology behind Kinect was pushed a step further version 3.0 could have the potential to have our whole lives encapsulated by digital achievements through motion tracking. That’s the direction I sense Microsoft are heading with this and how strongly I feel it’s a bad idea. Full article at link below.

    11. Oculus Rift Founder Palmer Luckey Talks About The Challenges Of Porting Games To VR

      During a recent ‘Steam Developer Day’ Palmer Luckey, founder of Oculus Rift gave a talk about the pros and cons of porting existing games to the Oculus VR. He believes that consumer virtual reality is closer than we think and that there is the potential for a game developer to step into the VR world and produce a genre defining game in the way that Doom once was.

    12. Dead Synchronicity Asks ‘What Will You Do When Time Dissolves Itself?’

      Back in December Fictiorama Studios presented Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today at Adventure X London allowing attendees some hands on time with the game. Since then they have been hard at work and have just released the first gameplay footage which can be found at the following link.
